I was up in the Buffalo Peaks Wilderness Saturday and only a few isolated aspen had started to turn.I take it as a sign that it will be at least a week, maybe two, before the peak change. There was lots of snow up there, another sign of fall.
On the way home, I saw a sign I’m not sure how to interpret.
On Highway 9, just southeast of Fairplay where the road crosses a wide valley and hits a long, north-south ridge, there is a billboard. On the back, someone has attached a large, hand-painted image of olive loaf. Who? I don’t know. It is simply signed, “Loyd.” What: A lunch meat that is basically bologna with green olives. Why? Again, not sure. Perhaps it is guerilla art.
LOL. Guerilla art is awesome.
Buffalo Peaks is beautiful isn’t it?
That is awesome. I love olive loaf.
